School’s out, it’s summertime and you might be running out of ways to keep your kids entertained! Make each day more fun than ever with a variety of activities and crafts.
Here are some of our favorite summer activities from childhood:
1. Backyard Campout Adventure
Can’t make a full trip to Tahoe? No problem!
Without leaving home, you can have a wonderful night under the stars with your kids.
Just pitch a tent, grill some burgers, share stories around the fire and end the night with some classic s’mores.
2. Bake cookies for a local senior center
Share that delicious recipe your mama passed down to you while teaching your children the importance of giving back to their community
3. Record stories with your kids about their artwork, schoolwork and mementos
Now that the school year has ended, have your children take photos of their artwork and record and share these stories with Keepy.
4. Cool off with a water balloon fight
Enough said.
5. Make your own ice cream
Make this treat in a bag and explore the science behind turning the creamy liquid into a tasty solid.
Nothing says summer quite like ice cream!
6. Head to the park
Feed the ducks, go paddle boating and have a picnic together.
7. Make art
Grab some butcher paper, paints, clothes you aren’t afraid to get dirty and you’re ready to make some art!
Let your little ones get a little messy and be creative!
8. Make a music video
Get dancing to their favorite tunes and share with grandpa and grandma can also rock out.
9. Participate in Local Summer Reading Program
Encourage your children to continue reading and keep your child’s skills sharp all summer long.
10. Have them decide
You’ve already decided most of the activities, now it’s their turn!
Give them $20 and have them plan the family fun for the day. Don’t forget to Keepy these memories on your kid’s timeline
These are just a few things to get you started this summer. What activities do you have planned this summer? Share them with us!
The best things about memories is making them.
